Legal Form and Purpose of the Platform

NationsBase is an independent online community and information platform designed to connect immigrants, local businesses, and compatriot communities.

The service provider offers only the technical and organizational infrastructure for users to share information, communicate, and publish listings or posts.

The responsibility for all user-generated content, uploaded data, and linked materials lies exclusively with the respective users in accordance with § 10 TMG.

Disclaimer of Liability (Haftungsausschluss)

1. Content Responsibility (§ 7 TMG)

As a service provider, we are responsible for our own content on these pages in accordance with general laws.

However, under §§ 8 to 10 TMG, we are not obligated to monitor transmitted or stored third-party information or to investigate circumstances that indicate illegal activity.

Obligations to remove or block the use of information under general law remain unaffected. Any liability in this respect is only possible from the time we become aware of a specific legal violation.

Upon notification of such violations, we will remove the content immediately (“Notice-and-Takedown”).

2. User-Generated Content

All posts, listings, comments, or uploaded materials originate from the users themselves. NationsBase does not verify, edit, or endorse user content and assumes no liability for accuracy, legality, or completeness.

Each user acts as their own data controller for information they provide publicly.

3. External Links (§ 9 TMG)

Our Platform may contain links to external websites or content from third parties. We have no influence over the content of these external pages and therefore cannot assume liability for them.

The respective provider or operator of the linked site is always responsible for its content. Linked pages were checked for possible legal violations at the time of linking; illegal content was not identifiable at that time.

Continuous monitoring of linked pages is not reasonable without concrete evidence of an infringement.

Upon becoming aware of any such violations, we will remove the links immediately.

4. Technical Availability

We strive to maintain uninterrupted service but do not guarantee permanent availability or error-free operation of the platform.

Temporary downtime or maintenance work does not constitute a defect or liability claim.

Copyright and Intellectual Property

All logos, texts, images, and design elements created by NationsBase are protected by copyright.

Duplication, distribution, or any form of exploitation outside the limits of copyright law requires prior written consent from NationsBase.

Users retain ownership of their own uploaded content but grant NationsBase a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free license to host and display such content as part of platform operations.
